After getting the kids' cars roughed in it was finally time to see how an H-60 looks as Pinewood Derby car.

This is how you make a drawer face with matching wood grain. When you glue the board back, make the hole smaller, and shave the face to fit. Take note, if your wood is not properly dry, or the finished product gains moisture, the drawer will have to be shaved a few times through the seasons. For me, there are few things that bring joy more than woodworking. I love making things with wood. I enjoy the feel, the sounds, the smells, the finished product, and in retrospect-the journey. I am excited to see some projects from joining members, I’ll keep trying to share as much as I can.
